Name: Arkus Rufo, the Bounty Hunter called "Ghost." Age: 227 Race: Keitosian (to keep this short, imagine an evil race very similar to the Xarians) Description: Standing at 6 feet tall, Arkus has shoulderlength blonde hair that he ties back to keep out of his face. He has striking blue eyes, and that in combination with the smile he always wears has been said to be very charming. He wears a felt fedora with a jet black feather in one side. He often wears a dark brown cloak that falls just around his combat boots, which he can simply throw over his shoulders should a battle begin. Under his cloak he wears a dark tan dress shirt, with the sleeves rolled up past his elbows, and a dark brown vest on top of that. He also wears light brown slacks, and has 8-shot revolvers on each upper leg, his hips, on his sides in slightly hidden holsters (ever see the thing james bond wears to hold his gun? Right under his coat? two of those things). He has a short sword hanging horizontally from the back of his belt, and on his left wrist is the only advanced technology he uses: a portable shield generator that creates a light blue energy ball that no laser can pierce. Personality: Always jovial or light, his accent (which is pretty much australian ;D) and his demeanor can take anyone off their guard. His cocky smile seems to be permanently etched on his face, and he treats everyone as his close associates, even if he doesn't know who they are. This does not mean he trusts all people, simply that he doesn't believe in formalities. History: Keitos is a planet filled with evil. From the monsters that dwell on it's surface to it's deceptively beautiful inhabitants. One such monster is the wyvern. The cruel and cunning relatives of dragons, the strongest of them was the jet black one by the name of Melseme. Smarter, faster, and most powerful of the wyverns, it commanded with an iron, um, claw, and would often lead raids on the native Keitosians. Tired of fleeing from the drakes of darkness, their leader, a man named Kierkan Rufo, lead a small group of skilled magic-users deep into wyvern territory. Melseme lead his two "lietenant" wyrms into into an attack on the lone band of Keitosians, and soon found himself no longer able to fly, no longer able to roar, or to spit black flames or cast magics. He was a statue, six inches tall, frozen in onyx. His second and third in command, respectively, found themselves in statues of umber and azurite. Furious at his captivity, Melseme was outraged to learn he was to be made to serve the humanoids. However, Kierkan Rufo coaxed him, showed him the true measures of Keitosian power, and soon, Melseme, though not at all pleased with his new stature(no pun intended, i swear), agreed to work with the Keitosians, who the wyrm realized were just as bent on chaos as his own race. He was passed down as a "family heirloom" for generations, till at last he came to Arkus, the 15th descendant of Kierkan. Now, Kierkan had been able to make Melseme into a blade of dark energy, powerful and evil. None of his sons to date had ever made that magic work after his death, until Arkus, who had been examining it on his 117th birthday, made contact with the evil dragon inside. Melseme, sensing that at last another worthy heir had come, allowed Arkus to wield him as a blade, and Arkus took off on his own, to spread chaos to the galaxy. OOC:sux or no? |
