Quickly, as if to avoid the frightful disaster of a storm, Hitatsu grabbed the slain creature's embodiement by its neck, dragging it through the rough and difficult forest terrain. Having spilled its muddy and vile blood behind, he could not hide the unpleasant smell of death, but he tried the least to hide the corpse itself. He forcefully shoved the corpse into the small hole and heard the dead meat ripping fit. Then, as swiftly as a leopard in jeopardy, he took out a flask of rabbit blood he had stored earlier, spilled it so that it traced a false direction from the origin of the murder spot to trick the rest of the orcs, and relocated himself to another point in the woods in order to maintain his stealth advantage. Locking up a bolt in his crossbow, Hitatsu prepared to perform another guerilla raid... |

(18/20) The remaining orcs smelled the new scent of blood, hoping for a meal. They found the rabbit blood by following their keen noses and searched the small area for a rabbit. (4/20) One of the orcs looked around the base of a tree, as that is where rabbits sometimes hide, and found the body of his fallen commrade. A yell escaped the orcs mouth in terror of what he had found, quickly turning his head and crouching over he looked for the killer. (5/20) The small group of 2 orcs was looking up at the tops of trees and in the bushes that scattered the floor. (9/20) One of the searching orcs passed very close to Hitatsu's position, but did not see him. (3/20) The orc stood there smelling the area, sensing something was wrong. He pulled out his curved short sword and began to intensly search the area... (14/20) The child that had shown Jezebelle where the library was ran past her laughing, knocking the book out of her hands and onto the floor, where it was opened to one page. (11/20) The page open described locking and conceling runes, and how to use them... |
| Kilumbay Joined: 13 Feb 2004 Posts: 41 | Posted: Mon Oct 17, 2005 8:20 pm | Characters: All for this theme; By Kilumbay: This theme, Any theme Intense nerves of adrenaline stroke Hitatsu as the Orcs fiercely scouted about the bushes and trees, hoping to detect him. He realized that this task has just become more difficult because they were more alarmed now than a previous moment ago. The anxiousness given from staying hidden watered Hitatsu's body with sweat, and he soon realized his breath becoming shorter and heavier. Even so, he decided it wasn't yet time to reveal himself to the Orcs for an actual combat. He wished to take down at least another Orc before confronting with them arm-to-arm, as his chances of fighting and winning all three Orcs were little, especially for the leader.
I will strike down the Orcs! Hitatsu claimed, raising his spiritual morale. It was now appropriate for him to shoot with the crossbow. He elevated his adroit hands steadily, adjusted legs and hips crouched and even, and shaped his mind to that of a marksman, courageous and sure. He told himself meditatively to take as much time as needed, gained farsight with his better eye, and waited on his shaky hand for the perfect angle. Moments later, the trigger finally let itself loose with satisfaction, as did the flying bolt. Hitatsu then left the rest of his fate to Yuhandra's hands. |
| Daembob Joined: 26 Nov 2003 Posts: 123 | Posted: Tue Oct 18, 2005 6:17 pm | Characters: All for this theme; By Daembob: This theme, Any theme (2/20) As Hitatsu came up from his concelealed crouching position the neariest orc saw a shape and started to investigate the area deeper.(18/20) The flying bolt scrached the nose of the now searching orc and passed on to its intended target. When the bolt reached its target it flew into the orcs open mouth, peirceing the back of his throat, and knocking of his leader headdress. The leader fell to the ground grabbing at his mouth, unable to remove the bolt he died of bleeding.
(11/20) When the bolt had scrached the searching orcs nose he fell face first to the ground thinking that more bolts would follow. (5/20) The orc on the ground crawled on all fours nearer to Hitatsu's position, keeping silent as he walked. (14/20) This orc crawled while looking back at the last orc who was now in fright of seeing his leader fall so quickly. As this happend the crawling orc knocked down a very small tree, not thicker than Hitatsu's sword grip, revealing his position. (4/20) The orc who had been with the leader now ran around the woods near where the crawling orc was searching. (6/20) The orc ran closer and closer to Hitatsu's position behind the bush and next to the tree. (19/20) The running orc came closer to Hitatsu's position smelling him out, and tripped over a large root from the tree next to Hitatsu. The orc broke his nose and was bleeding terribly, but most importantly he was just laying there in front of Hitatsu's bush head first... |
